Costa Rica

In the planning stages of doing some long distance cruising which may involve stopping in Costa Rica for up to a year. Does anyone have information about where the best place would be to keep a boat in Costa Rica (Atlantic vs. Pacific, etc.) and what area would be a nice place to settle down for awhile. We have twin 6 yo boy's and would like them to attend school while we are there.
Thanks,
Kim
