Re: beneteau Blue II

Sans Souci has been fitted with 110 electrics. Most of the 12 volt systems have been replaced including all led lightening. There is a battery charger in the port haul but I have not used the 110 system for several year because there is a 90 watt solar panel that keeps the 4 12 volt batteries charged. The 2 on the port side are used for the house except to power the refrigerator. The starboard battery bank mostly runs the navigation.
The electric head discharges to a 40 gallon holding tank that can be drained by the deck fitting or a separate macerator. She has pressure/hot water. There is a designer sink in the head.

Engine & Mechanical
Sans Souci was re-powered in 2009. The engines are 20 hp yanmar and there are approximately 550 hours in each. During that time of re-power new drip less couplings were fitted. The fuel tanks were moved forward and increased in sized 12 gallons port and 19 gallons starboard. Fuel gauges were fitted. Yearly oil, filters, and raw water impeller changed. The coolant was replaced in 2015.

Electronics & Navigation
Sans Souci has Raymarine depth, Speed and wind instruments replaced 3 years ago. There is a chart plotter, Garmin 541. The VHF radio is also 3 years old it is a Standard Horizon GX 1700 with a built in GPS for DSC system mounted in the main cabin with a remote station at the starboard helm.
Sans Souci is fitted with a Raymarine SPX-5 autopilot with a remote.

Galley
The galley in the starboard hull has a sink and a 1 burner alcohol stove. The counter tops are corian. There is a large and deep 12 volt ice box.

Deck & Equipment
There are 2 deep and large lazaretts forward. Plenty of storage area for fenders, spinnaker, lines and toys. Two kayaks can be stowed easily on the trampoline. There is a kayak holder off the starboard hull and a light weight davit off the stern for a small dingy. On the port stern is a boarding ladder. There are 2 anchor lockers forward. The cockpit is protected by a hard top which has removable isinglass between the cabin and hardtop. The "window shield" makes it cozy in the cockpit in cool weather. The main helm station on the starboard side is protected by a small bimini.

Layout & Accommodations
Sans Souci's main salon is a large entertainment center. We have had 8 people sitting comfortably inside. There is panoramic windows forward with a view of the full trampoline area. In each hull there is are staterooms with a galley in the starboard and head in the port. Under the births are the Yanmar motors. The main salon can be converted into a king size bed. In the port hull there is a hanging locker under the electronics station.
Inside cushion were new in 2013 with marine upholstery vinyl and new

Boat Highlights
Charles Kanter in his book "Cruising Catamaran Communique" describes the Beneteau Blue ll as: "it looks like it flew right out of Star Wars. It is gorgeous."And, Ferenc Mate in his book "World"s Best Sailboats" featured her when he discussed the Beneteau boats. Her duel helms makes her unique for a cruising boat of her size. The large trampoline is great for a luau party or sleeping on a hot summer night.
Since purchasing Sans Souci my wife and I have enjoyed bringing her back to new standards. We have constantly updated her in the last 8 years starting with new paint (professionally painted with Algrip), hardtop, motors, sails and interior upgrades.
