Leopard 40: Adding a panel arch over davits

I am considering adding an aluminum arch above the standard davits to support solar panels. I am also considering removing the davits and beefing up the arch to support a dinghy (which would bring the dink higher out of the water). Has anyone done this (or seen it done)? If so, I'd appreciate any lessons learned/thoughts. Thanks.

I don't know if you got an answer, sunbrella makes fabric for sling chairs, perhaps that's the material they used.

Thanks for the great ideas. Here's the answer we came up with...starboard seats connected between original davits with stainless poles.
