Wiring diagrams/schematics Union or Hans Christian

All,
Brand new to the forum, however have been lurking for sometime and are much appreciative of the knowledge and generosity made available. I have just acquired a new to me Union 36 and am trying to get a handle on its electricals. I’m new to boats, but have extensive experience in automotive restoration and can read wiring diagrams and schematics. That being said, this is a totally different world melding ac and dc systems and light years more in involved.I know a 40 year old boat, after several owners,is most likely going to have more than numerous modifications since delivered from the factory, but any diagram/ schematics from a Union or Hans Christian I believe could get me started on the right track. As I observe the wiring from the engine room to the control panel and out, I know this will be an eat the elephant one bite at a time scenario.
Additionally any suggestions you might have for someone acquiring an old boat and trying to get a handle on the black art of Ohms Law big time appreciated.

Any schematic from the boat builder will be worthless. Changes hav been made, and almost always undocumented.

The only thing to do with an older boat, and even some new ones, is to trace the wires. You have to do it anyway even if only to confirm the original drawing is correct, so just suck it up.
