Looking for Info on Ship Modul Mini-Plex2

I would appreciate any feedback from boats who are using Ship Modul Mini-Plex device. https://www.navstore.com/1125-shipmo...tml#product551

I have a RayMarine Depth and Knot log, a Garmin GPS and plan on either an AIS receiver or perhaps AIS transceiver. I want to push the data up to an iPad running navigation software. The logical choice is some sort of gizmo that can translate Ray, NMEA 0183, and AIS high speed while outputting to WiFi.

Would love to hear from boats using Ship Modul or other plug and play device that speaks Ray, NMEA 0183, AIS and WiFi.

Thanks

Bill

Re: Looking for Info on Ship Modul Mini-Plex2

I use a MiniPlex2.
I have a spare GPS that normally feeds my Navtex and other non RayMarine Kit. Occasionally I can lose my Raystar GPS Signal (not sure why) and the MiniP detects this and feeds in the alternate GPS feed to all my RayMarine Kit.

I also use the BlueTooth for alternate Plotter on my Mac.

Its been a good bit of kit to have so far ....
I have used there support .. which was responsive too ...
