Electric Water heaters

My Cat 30 has and electric water heater. I am guessing it only runs on shore power but I cant find a switch that operates it. Anyone know about heaters on Catalina 30's?

Don't know anything about your boat, but AC water heaters are typically wired through a breaker on the AC panel... Doubt this helps you, but it's where I'd start, and time to go chasing down wires if that's not so!

In some older boats they used what looks like steel boxes with house style circuit breakers for AC power. I have seen a lot of them in cockpit lockers located under fenders, rope, PFDs and junk.

indeed!

yes, thats it...stainless steel box on the port side...no fenders and ropes on it however. I think once I power up the AC it may all come clear. Thanks for your input.
