A/C receptacles for use with ring terminals?

I'm replacing the A/C (shore power) outlets on my boat. I haven't been able to find any receptacles that are suitable for use with ring terminals (they all seem to have "captured screws", and even if you force the screws out, they're almost impossible to replace without stripping the threads).

This link describes what I'm looking for, but I haven't found anyone online that sells small quantities.

I'm not a big fan of spade terminals - plus, I've got a whole box of top quality heat shrink ring terminals at hand.

Anyone know a source?

Hospital Grade, and wire ferrules.

How can I be sure that any of those don't have the captured screws? The Marinco literature doesn't address that aspect. At $30 or more a pop, I'd like to avoid trial and error. Can anyone vouch for that?

Well I didn't point you to anything Marinco. I pointed you to an online retailer that sells hubbell that same thing that your PDF linked to.

You are going to pay more fore something well built.

Just don't pay for well built and be fooled by something less.

I'm not grooving on anything Marinco, as of late.

Not complaining - don't get me wrong. But I don't believe all of Hubbell's products have the non-captured screws -- just the line that I linked to. That USB charger outlet looks pretty slick though.

At the hospital I work at, the electricians have started using snap connect outlets (mostly to avoid outages for receptacle replacement). Not sure how they would hold up in a salt environment, but these would avoid the terminal connection issue altogether (use butt connectors instead).

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that most manufacturer's describe this feature in their literature. Has anyone discovered a specific manufacturer that doesn't use the captured screws?

I used Hubble for my GFCI outlets and they definitely did have captive screws. I was able to force them out and still use the screws with my ring terminals. It was a bit of a pain but certainly possible.

To use outlets with staked screws, force the screws out, buy a bag of brass machine screws, use a tap to chase the threads. I would use a star lock washer.
