Removing the privacy film on cabin windows

How can you remove the film on the cabin windows?

Steamer. Really. Works very well.

Second choice is wet windows and cover with plastic - like the kind you get from clothes cleaners. You can add a couple of drops of soap, to make it wet better. Let sit in the hot sun.

remove film slowly from top edge then slowly drip "goo gone" between film and glass, allowing it to soak in; work down from top to bottom. Slowly.

Removing the privacy film on cabin windows

If it's the film on the outside of the large windows in the heads, it's not a film. I removed mine quite easily with acetone. Lagoon says "solvent".

I replaced ours with laser cut film supplied by a sign writer. Ours is now horizontal stripes, rather than the dots on the original. Looks good, and does the job. Easily replaced if subject to further wear and tear.
