General Info: Does anyone know the story: Lagoon hitting reef in Cuba?

My friend took a road trip on his motorcycle in Cuba two weeks ago. We met him at a hotel before he left and he told us all the great things he was going to do in Cuba - truly an adventure. Anyway - he takes off and sends us this photo with this caption.

This taken at Cabo Cruz. The boat may (my Spanish is not good and there was some disagreement amongst those that I asked) have belonged to Italians or Indians - wrecked last year - and there is a large reef stretching out about 2nm that I could see and likely further.
