Crew Wanted: Skipper for Potenial BVI to Med Atlantic Crossing

G'day All,

I'm new here and about to purchase my first sailing vessel. I'm trying to get over the line with the deal and would be looking to get underway as soon as everything (read the deal and mucking around with paperwork and time for voyage prep) can be put in place so as to make the window.

I would be joining for the crossing. About me, I'm a 34 yr old ex merchant mariner and have quite a few miles under my belt, but not under sail...hehe...so, Ideally, I'd like someone who can help me with training and skills on the way over. I'm also a pilot so I understand nav by DR / GPS etc from two perspectives, the 'rules' and a bit about engineering/machinery/systems (though must confess I tried to avoid 'they who dwell down there').

About the boat, its a (very) well equipped leopard 47. Details available.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for all the replies. I've been out of the loop for the last couple of months so my apologies for taking so long to send this. The deal fell through in the end (arrggghhh!!!), the seller was being a pratt...it happens.

Anyhow, the good news is I managed to secure another vessel (hence my absence) and I will have berths open for Carib cruising (incl cuba) starting Oct from BVI. I'll put another post up for that in due course.
