At the end of my trip I expect to end up where you are now... transiting the Gulf of Mexico to the FL Keys and then out to the Bahamas and on down through the Caribbean.

Sounds very tempting, very nice trip I guess, never been in the gulf but would like to see the walesharks out there ;-)

The ones you have to watch out for, in my experience, are the LANDsharks! ;-)

Are you a diver? I plan to hit some good dive spots, and will need an experienced buddy.
