Crew Available: Cruising Couple Seek Catamaran Experience

Experienced cruising couple with own 50ft mono looking for passage experience on catamarans before purchasing their own for world cruising.

He is RYA YM Offshore qualified with 12,000 miles and one TransAt under his belt, she is a Doctor with 6,000 miles; not a bad team to have on board! We are 51 and 50yrs old respectively, married, just retired, fit, healthy, non-smokers and more than willing to pay our way. We spent 1 month crewing on an FP60 cat in the Caribbean earlier this year courtesy of this forum, but that is the sum total of our catamaran experience. We are UK based but travel no obstacle, ideally looking late October/November/December or Feb/March next year. Must be home for Christmas and our January skiing!

If you need mature, safe, reliable and experienced hands to help move your cat, please get in touch. Also happy to put you in touch with the FP60 owner that we crewed for earlier this year.

Hey CF cat owners. I am the owner of the FP60 that AliaVita mentions above. They were on board for a month and we had a great time. Hit more islands than I can count and 7 different countries. They are terrific crew and I would have them onboard again in a minute.

If you are interested in a short trip, I need someone to help sail my 43' catamaran from Grenada to St. Martin the first week of November. Would like to do it straight through but would consider a few stops depending on duration of the weather window.

Thank you to Dreamingyachtsnman and others for your generous offers of catamaran experience, and especially Mikefp60 who gave us our first taste earlier in the year. We have now actually taken the plunge and 'bagged our cat' so to speak. We have just completed the purchase of our very own Catana 50 spookily named Alia Vita! We have registered with the ARC for Nov 2014 (no harm in planning ahead!)and can't wait to get out there with you all in the Caribbean and beyond.

You could say that! She's on the hard in France for the winter so we won't actually move on board until April/May. Looks like my next post here could be on the 'crew wanted' page!
