Re: TRINKA 10 TENDER ($2350)

Very nice boat! It looks like a great deal.

What is the purpose for the small red bags?

Is that a bronze oar clamp? How is it secured?

My new-to-me dinghy is similar but different. I have not yet made the cover for mine, so I have some questions. Does the cover shed water and how is the cover attached to the dinghy?

Great dinghy! We have one and we love ours. Anyone thinking about this should act as replacement would likely be more than $5000 by the time you have it delivered. Looks like a nice little package.

The security oar holder looks like a nice way to protect oars from theft.

Re: TRINKA 10 TENDER ($2350)

Thanks for the kind comments.

Wingless, the oar holder is a bronze yoke that inserts through a hole in the seat to keep oars in place while underway. A pad lock can be used on the underside, but we simply used a large cotter pin.

The Orange bags fit into the access ports in the fore and aft tanks. Good dry storage for keys, whistle, etc. As long as it is less than 4 inches wide.

Re: Trinka 10 Tender ($2350)

Was the mast step put in as I would outfit it with the sailing set up? If not, I'll find out from Johannsen what would've involved in installing the step.

Re: Trinka 10 Tender ($2350)

The mast step (currently installed) is original, as built by Johannsen. We sail it regularly, usually when it is too windy to do anything else.

The current rig is a 40 sqrt lug rig with vanished birdsmouth spars. Sail and spar design from the Iain Oughtred Acorn Skiff. Sail kits on sailrite.com.

It suits the boat perfectly, in my opinion, in both appearance and functuion. All spars stow neatly in inside the hull, it's easily reefed, and the center of gravity of the mast is so low that the boat can be safely left untended with the mast erect. Going for a sail is simply a matter of yanking the halyard.

Will try to find photos.

Was not planning on selling the rig because I built it, and figured it was worth more to me than someone else. It was a great project.

Re: Trinka 10 Tender ($2350)

Hello,
I really am interested in buying the Trinka 10 you have for sale. However I would need a sailing rig for dinghy. Would you consider selling the rig too?
Please respond directly to my e-mail address at mackrobertson(at)yahoodotcom
Thanks
Mack

For those who have tried to contact me... your private message got diverted by my work SPAM email filters. Sorry for not replying promptly.

The boat is still available. Thanks.
