pirate Need Partner To Repair Blisters/Wet Core In Annapolis

Need Partner in Annapolis Skilled in Repair of Blisters and Deck Core Replacement.
Can buy an Allied Princess 36' for Very Good Price.
Owner wants OUT!
Complete refit in 2008 including Yanmar 3JH2E and Standing Rigging and New Sails and New Seacocks and New Wiring.
Boat in very good condition.
I had her surveyed.
Bottom has minimal blisters that need to be repaired.
Deck core is solid but shows 'WET' on the meter.
Starboard side was drilled and injected at some point.
2 small soft spots forward of main mast chain plates ...1 to starboard...1 to port... surveyor recommends repairing now.
I will buy the boat and get her to Annapolis...you provide a place and do the work with my help.

Annapolis is an expensive place. Where are you starting from?

Re: Need Partner To Repair Blisters/Wet Core In Annapolis

This is going to sound like that joke about the happiest thing two Russians could say when they meet on the street-"I hope your cow dies". I really don't intend my comments to have that resonance; just passing along what I had to do on a similar age boat of the same manufacture.

Coming from one who has been there. Your compression post will need attention and when you remove all your chainplates the structure around them will be the consistency of mulch. This is a real man hour eating project-that can be done if you have the skills or are willing to to pick them up. Good luck! If you stick with things, and seek the knowledge that must rampant in the Annapolis area, you will come away with some good skills.

If the deck was drilled and injected, you are in for a world of hurt fixing that properly. Please do post on that specifically here when you get to it. It seems impossible to dissuade people from doing this type of repair butchery, so maybe some actual pictures and experience on the back side will help many people.

But probably not - the siren song is too tempting...
