Good Starter Cruiser for Family in South Carolina

been keeping an eye on CL for a while and have not found much that really catches my eye. I'm hoping that by coming to a site with find a boat i can purchase and the owner knows exactly what the boat needs and how to describe it's current condition.

I'm looking for a 21-23 ft sailboat that sleeps 4-5 for the family.

This is a first boat, would like something that needs some work done, elbow grease but nothing major like a recore, mast issues...real deal breakers with a bad/weak/rotting hull or a boat that was MFG by a company that went out of buisness 20 years ago and needs new sails that will set me back 3grand.

I will be sailing with the wife and kids so i need to be able to single hand it easily

Mostly lake use but some use in the protected water ways of charlelston and gulf.

Trailerable @ 2,000 lbs or less so i can pull it with my land cruiser.

I don't mind if the trailer needs tires/lights so long you don't mind me bringing a jack and new tires!

I don't mind re doing the interior or painting top/bottom.

something needing cosmetic fiberglass work or wood work is OK!

main thing is structual soundness and something easy/safe for the family to spend a few nights in.

I don't mind driving a little ways for a good boat.

This will be my first sail boat, grew up on a motorboat have restored the motorboat i grew up on but i'd like to spend more time on the lake without spending 100 bucks on fuel everytime i put the boat in the water.

I'm also tired of pitching a tent everytime we go camping.
