Bayfields are a Ted Gozzard design and have proven themselves to be able bluewater passagemakers.

Piper, a 1983 Bayfield 32C, is in great shape and has factory installed air conditioning/heat system, solar panel and wind generator.


She is cutter-rigged (that's the "C" in 32C), with a fully-battened mainsail with a lazy jack system and two furling headsails. All lines lead into cockpit for ease of sail handling.

She has an autopilot, a new Garmins 740S chart plotter, reliable and well-maintained Yanmar 3MGD diesel engine with 1590 hours, 4 new Trojan T105 house batteries and a new starter battery, a new Lofrans Kobra windlass, mid-ship cleats, and appropriate anchors and chain.

Recent upgrades and maintenance include:
New cutlass bearing
New transmission cable
New engine shut off switch
New engine belts, hoses, thermostat and impeller
New stainless twin anchor roller system
New anchor locker refit

Also, the "C" stood for a taller rig, not necessarily a Cutter configuration.
