For Sale: 80 kg Bruce anchor & 300 feet 7/16 inch chain

This anchor came from Lake Michigan. It was on a large sportfishing boat and does not look like it was ever used much. Galvanizing is in good condition. Also has 300 feet of 7/16 inch chain. Chain is marked TN. I believe the chain is probably high tensile. It could be 12 mm metric chain. I can get the exact link dimensions if needed. Located southwest Florida in Fort Myers. $1000. I can ship it but it will need to go freight. I have a forklift to load it.

Chain seems to be 250 feet long. It has paint marks, the first at 25 feet, assuming the marks are all the same it is 250'.

Further info from forum member suggests this is ACCO "Tuna Net Chain", essentially grade 7 galvanized heat treated chain, WLL 8750 lbs, almost as much as 1/2" Grade 4 chain.

Same chain is sold in Europe as 12mm chain.


Counting the marks gives a guesstimate of 250'. A normal drum of this is 300 feet, so it may be that length. Way too heavy to drag out by hand and measure.

If it helps, 300' of chain would weigh 645#, so if it is less then that, its not 300.
