79'CAL39MKII 5'6" DRAFT IN MIAMI $25K

This is an update of a previous post. $25,000 firm - in the perfect spot to start a Caribbean or Florida Keys cruise. Call me at 561-213-9038 or email me at carlosproacarlos@yahoo.com

I am the second owner of a 1979 CAL39 with 5'6" draft. This model is popular with cruisers in the Caribbean. It has depth finder, wind speed instrument, knotmeter, and GPS Map C+ with South Florida and Bahamas charts on it. Of course brand new out of the box VHF radio, BIG Ice box, Stove with 3 burners, BBQ gas grill, pressured water, LAVAC toilet, 50 gal diesel tank, 75 gal water, etc

This exact model are currently sold from $40K to $64K in other listing. I am asking for $25K. This is not a project boat. It is moored in Miami FL. I own a catamaran, so this one got to go.

What I have done recently:
- The Perkins 4-108 just had a $2,000 rebuilt injectors and over all upgrade, cleaned the diesel tank, replaced all filters, kill switch, etc
- replaced two long cycle batteries and a starter battery
- I have replaced all teak rails (big job!), put new stanchion bases
- Replaced the Bow Pulpit
- new chain and wire steering
- I have brand new haylards for the main and genoa plus two backups that has never been used
- standing rigging is in great condition
- New modular cabin lining
- Replaced 3 windows ports
- rebidded and replaced all gaskets in the two main hatches

What needs to be done:
- The Solid HYDE roller furling needs new bearings ($395)
- The stuffing box will need repacking
- running lights need to be connected
- new bottom paint - hull is solid
- the cabin sole is looking tired, will benefit from replacing the 1/2 inch top Teak and Holly (will take 2 4x8 sheets, each $200)
- Need to decide whether to run wires or dynema for safety lines (dynema is stronger, lighter)
- new packings for the stuffing box, new zincs for the shaft

As you can see not much need to be done - your biggest expense will be the bottom paint and any additional toys you may want to add.
