I see a U on one side of the shackles, only on Harken production ?. On the other side there is a N, which is probably a model type. I do not see this U on other brands. Some have nothing, they are cheaper. There could be a reason, for being cheaper, I mean.

Different usages might require different qualities.

The smaller NM does not have the U but looks like the same production.

Here is a pet peeve of mine since I live in Hawaii. A Priority USPS Flat rate box is about $6.00 at the post office. Nearly all those shackles would fit in one. I will not do business with anyone who advertises U. S. 48 states only.

Sorry for the rant.

Hawaii and Alaska are states and the USPS delivers to them for an inexpensive rate.

I go round and round with eTrailer, Performance Marine and some others concerning their refusal to support the USPS which needs our help and I definitely need some of their products. I just refuse to do business with companies that won't support the USPS and give me a good rate for delivery.
