40 foot Catamaran for Family

My family of 4 is seeking a used catamaran for upcoming Caribbean adventures. Our ideal boat would be:

-about 40 feet or a little more
-3 or 4 cabins
-Ready to sail from a location in Florida or the Caribbean

We'll be shopping starting in May. Maybe there is previously used family boat out there that will fit our needs?

Thank you for any leads!

We have decided to sell our Fountain Pajot Belize 43 cat. This is located in Bahamas or Florida Keys, depending on the time of the year. It has the 4 cabin, 2 head layout that we wanted for friends and family. We have replaced about everything including new diesels and sails. Contact us personally if interested.

We have an older Leopard 40 which we love! My advice is to get your own broker.

Good luck on your search.

Finding a cat is easy.

Finding an affordable one that is in good shape and ready to go is much harder.

Sure: $200-250k USD, with that number being the amount needed to have the boat actually functioning, safe, and ready to leave the dock with family aboard.

Re: 40 foot Catamaran for Family

Thanks Scout, you're brilliant.

I'd checked the listings here.
I'd checked Yachtworld
I'd checked sailboatlistings.com
Craigslist?..... Doh, forgot that one!

For cats in your price range craigslist is really a longshot but still worth checking out. Personally, I'd check out Yachtworld regularly. I think you'll find your best results there. Also, you might want to contact some of the charter companies like Moorings.
