The
boat is a 2003 Kit Cat 38
Catamaran. 40' Length Overall. NOT a homebuilt kit, Kit Cat was owned by AeroComp, an aviation company. She is very unique, a
power catamaran w/ a sailing rig. A 4 stateroom/2
head that has been constantly updated. She is powered by twin 2009
Evinrude E Tec 115's, that are under factory warranty until 2014. They are extremely economical to run, 20
knot max, at a fast planing crusing speed of 15knots, the burn rate is on 12 GPH. At a slower
trawler speed of 7-8 knots, the
fuel burn rate is 2.25 GPH. And when there is a breeze she can easily sail for 0 GPH. Built w/ all high quality aviation grade materials, she is very lightweight and extremely flexable.
She was surveyed (for
insurance purposes) in Feb 2011 and found to be in above average condition and exceptionally well maintained. She is hauled out once a year for bottom painting and factory tech
engine servicing. The very shallow 2'
draft makes her perfect for running in the backwater bays of the FL Keys or the shallow Bahamian waters. We often
anchor in places that most other boats cannot get into.

hull wax & engines serviced July 2012.
