Engine and Sail Drive

Hi All

I have tried to find specifications for the Volvo Folding props fitted to the Lucia without any luck. The Volvo website seems to be more oriented to marketing things than providing useful information.

Can anyone tell me where I can find this?

Also does anyone know the final drive ratio on the sail drive and shaft size/taper details?

I am thinking seriously of fitting feathering props again, I miss the control when going astern and I am also suffering from a vibration and suspect it is a prop.

Cheers
Martin

Re: Engine and Sail Drive

Martin,

Maybe some of this Volvo Penta Prop data may help.

17X12 Prop on the Volvo Penta D1-30F Saildrive Engines

The attached Bullitin conversion chart will work for the D1-20 engines also.

Volvo Penta D1-30F engine use 3 blade folding prop:
17" Dia. X 12" Pitch Left Hand (Counter Clockwise)

Volvo Penta # cast into Blades 3583376
Order Volvo Penta Propeller Blade Kit 3583388

Volvo Penta # cast into Hub 3584247
Order Volvo Penta Hub Saildrive Kit 3858955

Note: The Prop Hub is the same for D1-20 & D1-30 D2-40 and D2-55 engines
