I don't know what the options list was but from what I can remember it was pretty good compared to prices now...But I guess that could be true for any new cat now huh?

I assume the price of the Mahe is going through the roof with your weak dollar.

The prices in the past still looked cheap compared to ours in Australia but exchange rates close to parity make the whole exercise very interesting.

The base boat price seems OK.
Options are the killer!
I guess because I want it all!!!!

Do not forget sweat equity.A lot of the options can be installed in the USA at a better price

Hi all,
After delivery in La Rochelle of our new Mahe "Miss Poes" we did the first day of sailing today. We left La Rochelle 7:20 AM and at 8:15 had the Spifurl up, which was not tested during our test sail the day before because of too much wind. Later we did some motoring due to no wind; after the wind turned and same back we had to tack all the way to Sables d'Oleron, where we arrived today 19:50 PM. A long first day.
The day included a swim (I thought there was a line in the left prop), a visit by 5 customs officers, and a hot meal prepared during sailing. This last thing is tricky and can be dangerous since there is no pan holder supplied. (you can order this from Eno, I've got the part number if anybody is interested. We will order it surely)
We were really impressed with the boat, and are very happy with it. There were quite a lot of little things not OK on our boat, but Fountaine Pajot (Romain) did his best to solve everything. Only remaining thing is that strangely, the sea was at a constant 6.5 meters. We hope that tomorrow morning the Furuno people will solve this in some way.

Hi Jef & marin,

Congratulations on yr Mahe.. I took my Orana a week ago and had the same problem with Furuno deep sounder. It is either constant 2,5 meter or just ---... I don't think is a problem. In mine tere was a pan holder even though I didn't specifically ordered it.

Great news on getting your boat, I hope you resolve your problems and carry on enjoying it. We are now in Lanzarote having some great sailing. The boat is going better than I expected.

How are you coping with furling the Spifurl?

What is the latest Mahe 36 hull #. FP seems to be putting a lot out. They must have a few shifts running.

Mine will be hull 92. I haven't been told when exactly it will be ready, but it should be sometime in July.

Hi Seadog Johnny, when we came to fetch our Mahe 88 at the end of May, there we 7 mahe's lying in the harbour. One of them was number 92. We have a picture of it, and will try to attach it. If this does not work, send me your email address.
Number 92 is the left one on the picture. You need to enlarge it and have some fantasy. Check the options!

We could get our boat not earlier than may 28, although it was probably already finished early April. There is a bottleneck in transport from the factory to the harbour, they need to get police assistance with 3 motorbikes, we have been told. Probably our boat was already produced in winter on stock.

Also we have been told that boats are not processed in strict order.

We are presently on our way back to the Netherlands, lying in Guernsey. We do a lot of anchoring and mackerel catching (and eating).
