The latest alpha package has AUTO working again. It is necessary to setup a UDP connection to 127.0.0.1 in Options->Connections. The route or waypoint needs to be activated or 'Navigate to here' used.

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

Hello Mike, Today I tried to test ShipDriver.

Note : During this test, the GPS Odometer plugin was active (but it does not work correctly).

- I chose a route and activated it.
- I launched Ship Driver.
- The Grib plugin opened automatically and since I had a recent grib file available, this grib file is used.
- Then I quit shipdriver. Surprise: The boat continued on the route....Strange.

- I deactivated the route: The boat continues ahead automatically .....

I admit I don't quite understand what is going on. Did I put my finger on a bug?????

Yes. Sail was not intended to be used at the same time as Follow. I need to look at this, prevent both being used at the same time and make the buttons indicate what is happening.

And Follow does not need a route to be activated. The plugin generates the NMEA as if it had been activated. Follow needs a section in the manual.

Re: ShipDriver - another BETA!!!

v3.3.0 is now in the master catalog. This now includes simulations of OpenCPN alarms such as AIS SART, AIS collision etc.
