Celestial Navigation doesn't install

When I try to install the 'Celestial Navigation' plugin, it comes up as a puzzle piece icon, and does not work.

I am running a MAC OS: Ventura 13.6.3
Open CPN: 5.8.4-0
Celes. Nav.: 2.4.40.0

if I exit Open CPN, and restart it, I receive an error message that the Celestial Navigation plugin is not working and is un-installed.

Repeated upgrading the plugin catalog results in the same issue. A friend of mine who also is running a MAC noted that the Celestial Navigation plugin on his shows a version 2.4.4.0, and that version does run on his MAC (unfortunately he tried to upgrade, and it is now 2.4.40.0 which fails to run on his MAC).

Is it possible to reinstate the 2.4.4.0 plugin in the catalog so that it will run on the MACs?
