Wiring Raymarine wind instrument

Hi, when the yard unstepped my mast last fall one of the crew disconnected my Ray Marine i70s wind instrument. That fellow is now gone and the current guy is unsure how it all works so I am left without a wind instrument. The blue and the red wires appear to be the only ones that were in use. Any idea how I reconnect this? Thank yo

Re: Wiring Raymarine wind instrument

From your picture, it looks like where you hook it up is IN that box. You need all the wires, including the bare metal one.

Hard to tell from that pic, but it is almost certain you do not connect them to those two big wires.

Unless of course you mean where to put the wires on the back of your wind instruments, rather than where they exit the mast... if you have an i70s, my understanding is you will have this analog to digital converter on your boat, the wires go there eventually.

Re: Wiring Raymarine wind instrument

See attached jpg for connection of the 5 wires at your wind instrument cable junction box.

The larger wires also shown in your photo are possibly for your anchor light and are not used for the wind instrument
