What breed of transducer?

Hi all,
I’m looking to replace a non working transducer but I am not sure of the make.
The body width of the plug that replaces the sensor is 40mm. I haven’t been game enough to pull the sensor to check dimensions while the boat is in the water.
The boat comes out of the water shortly and I’d like to be prepared with a new sensor if possible.
Does anybody know the make?
Cheers Andrew

That's Airmar, but is it a spéed transducer? Or depth?

Re: What breed of transducer?

Hi Dockhead,
I’m not sure as it was disconnected when we bought the boat and we haven’t had her on the hard yet.
The previous owner has added an in hull depth transducer glued on the inside of the hull. But I’m hoping to add speed and temp through the original hole.
Many thanks

Re: What breed of transducer?

what are you pluging it into? that is the main question as the new one will need the correct plug. but pretty much every transducer is made by airmare. then they add the different plugs for different brand screens.

if you are pulling the boat you'll want to replace the whole thing anythings. so I wouldn't be trying to fit anything into the existing through hull. only be worried about the hole size in the hull. but new ones would likly be same size or bigger

Sounds like good advice, we’re planning to connect to B&G.
Will the sizes match the existing hole in the hull or will it need to be patched and re drilled?
Thanks in advance
Andrew

Re: What breed of transducer?

Gemeco may be able to help you identify, but may need more information.
There is supposed to be a tag near the transducer end of the cable that is marked DO NOT REMOVE and Gemeco may need more information.
You can contact them by phone or email.
