Hello all
I wonder if somebody knows about the sat communication SKYMATE or better use it.
My main concern about getting one on board is to get weather forecasts even in the middle of the ocean.
All opinions will be appreciated.

I have the Skymate Sentrymate 200 on board but I found it very expensive and use the Iridium phone for downloading weather and emails. The Skymate 'Platinum Plan' with it's 50,000 character limit is actually very easily used up when you are getting daily weather reports. The position reports to friends were ok but largely not needed.
