Robertson RFC-200

I Want to overlay radar on my Standard Horizon cp300i. Will the RFC-200 work as a heading sensor on this set up? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the compass but the CP300 takes NMEA0183 data. If your compass can supply that data it should work. However I am very limited in my skills with this sort of thing: I'd call SH tech help and ask. I found them to be very helpful when setting up an autopilot last summer.

I guess contacting SH is the next step. I've not been able to find any info on the Robertson unit, I can buy it for $20.00 vs $300.00 + for a KVH 1000.

Got a reply from Simrad Robertson "it's a very old unit & will not operate on nmea0183". Found a KVH for $250.00 that will work so will go with it.
