Magnifier for Raymarine RL70C plotter

Hi,

We have an older Raymarine plotter with a 7" display. One of us has vision issues and has trouble seeing the ship icon on the display.

Any ideas for a plastic magnifier that could be attached to the display?

I think most setups including full page/sheet magnifiers require them to be at a distance from the content due to how optics work. It is possible to make a custom mount for them though, but will take some fab work. Alternatively you could try using a flexible (gooseneck type) holder with a clamp that can be bent into a position.

With that said, if you don't have a lot of other electronics tied into the plotter - it may be easier to just replace it. My new Raymarine Axiom has a feature that is called something like EasyView or similar, where it removes some details, but also increases the font and icons i think.
