Re: is there a way to have internet while sailing?

With SSB you can get email and weather gribs through SailMail. With Sat phones you can get rudimentary internet access.

You can put on a dome with fulltime internet connections that the mega yachts use. about 3-4 k per month for usage. 200MB is 1100.00 per month,, unlimited is over 6k I think

my buddy lars on jennifer has imarsat fleet broadband for internet which costs about $1500-2000 a month to run,the costs are defrayed by his full time charter guests and articles he writes.
