private documentation services

Any recommendations for private documentation services in the Seattle-Tacoma WA area? Or, for that matter, any part of the country? Thanks

Re: private documentation services

I've read your problem on the other thread. Not sure if a Canadian company can help but David Carkeek at Marine Title Transfers handled the transfer of title on both of our boats, new and old. The new one is a registered boat, Canadian equivalent of documented. He's located in Gibsons BC, just outside of Vancouver... telephone 604-760-9212. He's probably handled cross border transfers and may have some Seattle references for you. We bought our boat through Swiftsure Yachts, based in Seattle (but through their Canadian broker), and I'm sure they and other Seattle brokerages could point you toward reliable documentation services. Best of luck.

Admiralty Insurance are experts in boat documentation along side their marine insurance business.

Documentation services generally want to take all the info you would give the USCG and $100 or so in order to provide that info and about $35 to the USCG.

You want a lawyer to help you sort out the documentation that is in the name of somebody that has been dead for 20yr, not a “service” that gouges boat owners “helping” them with renewals.
