Installing Weaver Davits on Walker Bay inflatable

Has anyone else faced this problem? I have a Walker Bay 301 Odyssey inflatable dinghy. I want to install the pads that hold the yolk for Weaver davits on the dinghy tubes. However, the best placement position is right above the rub line on the dinghy and this is exactly where the raised vinyl Walker Bay insignia sits (on the stern end). Obviously the pads don't sit on top of the insignia, but to install the pad above the insignia is less that ideal too. Suggestions?
