Hong Kong Services and Parts - Where to find and costs

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some light regarding the Services and Parts in the Hong Kong area.

I'm looking to buy a Beneteau 41, the boat has been in the water without use for 3 years, I did a quick look/check on her and there is a list of things that I believe need to be replaced or serviced (I was not able to even turn on the Motor).

My problem is I've just moved to HK (6 months now), so I don't know where to buy parts (I know I can order a few things from China), or who should I trust to do the services here (boatyard).

I know that a lot of the things listed below will be confirmed by a surveyor, but before I put an offer on the boat, I'd like to have an idea.

Unfortunately, I did some research on the Forum (Hong Kong search) and most of the posts were old (2013-2018).

So if there is anyone in the area that can help me and give me some contacts information, I can do my homework before placing an offer on something that will be a nightmare.

1. The list of items that I’m pretty sure will require a total replace
a. Running Rigs
b. Main Sail / Genoa
c. Toilets pumps
d. Lights (pretty much all)
e. Bilge pumps
f. All the hatches
g. All Batteries (house and start)
h. All cushions
i. Dodger
2. The list of items that most probably will need some fix/services executed is pretty big
a. Motor
b. Generator (most probably replace)
c. Air Conditioner (most probably replace)
d. Bottom paint
e. Refrigerator
f. Top Bimini
g. Winches
h. Stove/Oven (most probably replace)
i. All Electric circuits/panels
j. All electronics (Radio, GPS, Auto-pilot, speed, deep sounder, etc..)
k. All Teak
l. Ceilings that are falling
m. Cracks on gelcoat
n. Check the Hardware’s (Blocks, travelers, stoppers, etc..)
o. Few pains on the furniture’s/panels
p. Anchor windlass
q. Anchor chains (not sure how much it has)
