selling a sailboat in pacific Central America

Greetings

My friend and I are planning to sail south to Panama this fall after the hurricanes are done. We want to sell the boat down there because we won't have time to sail back north. Does anyone know how easy or hard this is to do? The boat is not going to be a 'yacht' we are looking at buying a boat for around 10k.
