Where credit is due - Taylor Made fenders

We have two large 27" round fenders aboard that we bought heavily discounted from West Marine when they were closing a location in Texas. We have had them perhaps 10 or 11 years.

The valves for these fenders are moulded to accept a large phillips screwdriver so they can be easily unscrewed and removed. Over time, these plastic valves have embrittled and the phillips fitting has completely stripped out.

I contacted Taylor Made and they immediately offered to ship two replacement valves to me at no cost. No questions about where was the receipt, etc. Just friendly and efficient service to stand behind their product.

Hats off to them.

Re: Where credit is due - Taylor Made fenders

Taylor Made has a lifetime warrantee on their fenders. Back when I worked at BoatUS and West Marine, we took them back all the time. Just walk in with a leaky one and walk back out with a brand new one, no questions asked. I just had one of the fenders that came with my new-to-me boat burst. Alas, not a Taylor, some brand I never heard of. Gonna cost me some money.
