West 105-205.... OK with latex paint???

Please don't laugh.... I know it's not much of question here.
But it doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm very familiar with 105-205 and InterProtect 2000, etc...
That's not the point.

I have a couple of wooden light poles at home that I want to save..... Tried a number of cheap caulking/ filler/ home Depot magic cures/ etc....

Noting last more a couple of years....

NOW WE KNOW THAT 105-205 LAST FOREVER!

Question: can it be painted over with a good quality latex paint?

THANKS

Well, probably. Epoxy needs sanded before painting though. You mean the end that goes in the ground? or above? If the rot's in there you are just sealing it in.

Yes. When it comes down to it, epoxy is just some plastic. If you can paint plastic with the paint, you can paint epoxy with it.

It’s not a particularly slippery plastic either. Once you abrade it, everything will stick to it.

Why not give WEST SYSTEMS a call or at very least, shoot them an email.

Latex is a soft paint. If you put a hard paint( oil based ) on top it will not last. Remove the latex and it should be fine
