Tried that, no luck. qtVLM is as half-baked as I remember when using it last time in 2019. In all cases the process is a cumbersome loading of files via iTunes on PC. In the case of qtVLM the gribs folder on iPhone (visible in iTunes) is not accepting files dragged into it.

This app requires subscription after a free 10-day trial. Pass.
Managed to load it (again via iTunes on PC) into PicketGrib. Had to change the .final expension as sent by SailFlow to .grb
Still searching for a way to do it all on the iPhone without PC
