Opinions on nested dinghy kits?

If you want a dinghy that can fit on your car roof, why don't you get a Laser? It'll sail a darn sight better than a yacht's tender.

Admittedly it's bit of a knack getting them on and off the roof on your own.

When I started this thread, I was looking for something that I could sail now, and use as a tender when I bought a boat.

I've since started thinking that it's premature to worry about a tender for a boat I've not yet bought, and I should find something that's fun to sail.

With that in mind, I'm currently thinking about building one of these:
