My honda was leaking oil, checked the sight glass[no oil showing],added more oil, still no oil showing in the glass.I drained the oil and added 240ml of oil, still no oil showing in the glass.I cleaned the oil out of the air cleaner, now no oil leaking.

Re: Honda 2hp oil leak

Has anyone replaced or repaired the sight glass AKA oil level inspection window?

Those sight glasses are a pita. the reflective backing gets dirty and makes it impossible to see the oil level. If you can get it off you might try washing it out with some solvent.

Re: Honda 2hp Oil Leak

I know on mine, after changing the oil I could not see the oil level in the site glass. I know i put oil in it and I drained it again and refilled it. Still no oil on the site glass.
I think the oil is too clean to see, after further inspection with an LED light, I could see the oil level. FWIW
