Is there a problem of not putting the name or anything on your dinghy for a registered boat, when the name on the transom is covered by the dinghy when the dink is swung up on Davits? Your only source of ID would be covered while under way. Does the law in Canada require the boat name on the bottom of the Dinghy?

Our Tartan 37 is named 'Our Lattitude' (spelling error intentional) and our dink needs or has a 'Little Lattitude'

Yes we did. Many people do and sometimes in a very funny way (Plan B, etc.).
But we did not paint the name on our dink.

Our boat is called "Matsu" and people regularly think we are called Matt and Sue. As we are Tim and Linda we decided to call the dinghy "Tinda" as a weak joke, the trouble now is everyone thinks we are Kiwis!

Without a doubt, the best name we've seen was in the Exumas at the dinghy dock in Georgetown.
It was, "The Last Dinghy I'll Ever Own #4"
You can't make this stuff up.

Our first inflatable [mostly] was called Patches, for fairly obvous reasons. Our second more reliable inflatable is very new to us and currently only has a nickname, Patches Two but will probably get renamed before it gets any ideas!

Our dinghy is 'havagansett .' New Englanders of a certain age know where that comes from. It'll never actually be painted on the dinghy, since it's too obviously connected with the big boat.
