Sparmaster

Hello World

Go a question for y'all:
I'm building a trimaran, and according to the plans it requires a Sparmaster SM150 mast.

My problem now is:
Sparmaster seems to be permanently closed ( used to be: 1356 Lytton Rd, Hemmant QLD 4174, Australië)
Not that I would buy a mast in Australia as I am in Europe.

But there seems to be no info whatsoever online about Sparmaster and their former products.

Does anyone have any info on this mast ? ( Longitudinal and lateral Inertia of this Sparmaster SM150 mast)
Or does anyone have any contact info I can try to reach out to?

Hope anyone can help.

Thanks

G

Re: Sparmaster

G,

Sadly, Sparmaster has indeed been out of business for quite a long time now. Sad because they built a very superior spar for a fair price, and were great to deal with.

But, the chap who used to be their shop manager is still in business as an independent rigger. Name is Scott Keogh, shop name is S-K rigging, e-mail is keoghme@iprimus.com.au>. Scott is a very competent and nice chap and may be able to help you locate a suitable tube.

Good luck!

Jim

Yeah, already sent a mail to Ray about the mast requirements.
And Ray is quick on the draw when answering mails.

But I figured as "cruisersforum" is such a big comunity I might also get lucky with someone knowing something about Sparmaster

Thanks Jim

Reached out through email
I am a couple thousand miles away from Australia, so dont know if he can help me find another supplier.
I asked him if he could provide me with inertia numbers on the Sparmaster SM150 so my local supplier can go from there.

Again Thanks

Re: Sparmaster

Just a little Update

Jim was right.
Scott keogh was able and did help me, sending all requested info.
So I'm good to go now.

I can only concur with what Jim said.
Scott is a very friendly guy allways ready to help.
( As he knew I wasnt going to buy from him and I wouldnt have any business for him, being on the other side of the globe, he still responded within a day)

So glad that it turned out well for you! It was a sad day when Sparmaster closed their doors, ultimately due to a arson type fire in a neighboring business. they were really good guys with a superior product.

Dang...
