Not sure what you are asking? I am showing how to make one type of strop to hold a low friction ring, which is a sort of line deflector/block replacement

I find this really useful, and I appreciate you posting it.

One thing I would like to point out, the pictures are quite small, I am viewing on a 27" monitor and I have to really work to read the print on the pictures. It would be really tough on a small screen like many users have. If you cold post a larger version it would be great.

^ will do when I get a bit of time. I'm making up a big collection of samples to break at the moment, hope to get them all done to put in the mail on monday.

As an aside, these instructions were intended to show a technique for the crossed bury.

The actual loops show in the pics above are much tighter to the ring than is optimal. I made them to try to determine what is the worst case with tight loops. They are ok, but should break earlier than looser loops. I realize I did not make that clear above.

This sample, pic below, is more what you want to loops to look line for optimal strength of the loops.
