How to install blocks at mast step?

I need to install a pair of blocks at the base of my mast but I'm not sure how to go about it. l looked at several setups at the dock yesterday. Some boats had mast steps with flanges and holes to accept additional hardware. Mine does not. I was thinking there might be something available for the mast track. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: How to install blocks at mast step?

Or maybe just pop rivet an eyestrap or padeye directly onto the mast at the base?

There is much variety in rigging blocks at base. As long as leads are fair, and installation is structurally sound, you can do pretty much anything you wish.
