Re: Adding inner forestay and running backstays to in-mast furling

I will be doing exactly as DeValency descirbes. I'm thinking synthetic to T-bolt down, to 4 to 1 purchase or so...to cam cleat.[/QUOTE]

Going synthetic is a good idea. My mast is down as of last month for complete re-rigging and other things and also think of replacing the original SS running backstays with synthetic. The exiting purchase of 4 to 1 will stay - very easy to adjust.

Are you saying a one-piece tang/sheave assembly? I have seen them but can not think of one big enough. A J22 or something is what I have in mind.

Thanks.
