Agree with that, but then at least one and possibly all three lines also might have needed to be replaced, ( too short, or wrong orientation etc). And the wires just did not reach!
Having done the install of the original can once already and had to fight with 25mm hoses onto 1" nipples (25.4mm) in a confined space with boiling water and heat guns I did not want to venture there.

Re: New Toilet Installation Problem

I think actually the problem is way more obvious, I noted that when your video was running ( excuse the inference) I noticed a distinct lack of the material that was in the manufacturers video. Its the friction absorbing deionizing anti aligen blue medium tjhat in fact allows the water to move at the same speed under similar mechanical conditions.

I may be wrong but I thought I would lighten the load on the toilet issue - as it were

Re: New Toilet Installation Problem

Hi Everyone,

Thank you very much for your suggestions. In the end, I rang the manufacturer and spoke to a technician. I played the video of the toilet's operation over the phone to the technician so he could listen to the sound it made. He said it sounded almost certainly like a motor issue (bearings most likely). So I went and bought a new one which I installed with the same plumbing and electrical cabling. It worked perfectly. The retailer will send the old one back and once fixed, I will keep it as a spare.
