Question Do I need the pump?

I am at the point I am ready to replace the head on my boat.

After a little review and research, we're thinking the Raritan Marine Elegance is the one for us. I know I need the 12V version (Amy says white). However, there is a version with a pump and one without. What is the pump for, do I need it?

Re: Do I need the pump?

If you want to flush using salt water you'll need the pump. Otherwise you'll used pressurized domestic fresh water.

Re: Do I need the pump?

Thanks, I was thinking it was something along those lines but wasn't sure. I think I'd like to go fresh water since I understand it helps control odors. More expensive with a pump so of course that's the one I gotta have! Ain't it always the way ...

Yeah, I know ... I got it totally backwards. Don't need the pump one with fresh water.

Re: Do I need the pump?

You can also set the Elegance to use either salt or fresh water. Nice option if your fresh water supply is limited.
