3/8 compression ferrule in lake worth area

Hi all, last night I found a cracked compression fitting on our propane system.
I have a new compression nut but no ferrule for it.
Everywhere is closed for Thanksgiving and we are underway tonight for the bahamas(west end then abacos).
I'm sure I will find one there at some point, but if anyone in lake worth has a spare, it would be great to have our stove working again

Hopefully its just a nomenclature issue. There should be NO compression fittings in a propane system. All the connections are supposed to be FLARE fittings, very common at Autoparts stores.

Thank you for the correction. It's the original system(early 90s), 3/8 flexible copper line. It's on the plan to replace next year.
Unfortunately there are no auto parts stores answering their phones here

Yikes! that looks pretty dodgey! Looks like regular plumbing shop compression fittings.

Which is why I plan to replace the entire system in the summer. But this is what lagoon installed, so it's what I get to deal with

There are gas ferrule compression fittings and water/plumbing versions.

ABYC Propane Systems "1.9.4 Metal tubing shall be connected by means of flare fittings.
NOTE: “Long nut” flare fittings should be used. The short nut type fitting used in refrigeration systems can
precipitate fatigue failure due to vibration." You are not supposed to use compression fittings. Wally world may have a propane hose in their RV section. Replacing the copper tubing with hose is very common on boats.

I don't know how it applies to you? Our code for propane shore wise is flared fittings. I don't agree with it, however it maybe worth looking into.

My 2003 Gemini had copper propane lines that were green in several places. The local hydraulic shop said when the tubing got green, it should be checked for age hardening. I did what he said and found 2 leaks. Replaces it all with acetylene rated flexible turning that the shop made up with swaged fittings. Just a few minutes to install - and the periodic CO alarms stopped - lucky I'm still alive.
