Zpc-3 acorn zinc

Hi Folks .. I have attached a pic of an acorn zinc (zpc-3) that screws on the end of my shaft. Seems everyone is out of stock on these. Does anyone know if a supply as well as an alternative.. thanks in advance … Dennis

Re: Zpc-3 acorn zinc

Does your boat also have the traditional jam nut/king nut setup?

Re: Zpc-3 acorn zinc

Yes it does have nut with cotter pin. The acorn then screws on the end. I have ultimately found the zpc acorns and I got 2 of them. Had bottom cleaned a few days ago and the old acorn zinc was not there. I am thinking that the right spinning threads on the clockwise spinning prop caused it to fall off. I have heard a lock washer on there will avoid it coming off. I bet a prior bottom cleaner accidentally lost that washer some there isn’t anything others than the nut on there. Any thoughts on this from anyone?? Much appreciated in advance! Dennis

Re: Zpc-3 acorn zinc

Why stick with an antiquated and hard to find anode? Why not go with a typical prop nut anode setup?
