I have a 1980 Pearson
40. I recently acquired it, and got no paperwork of any sort for the mechanical end. I have a PYI wheel
that I took off. The owner of the yard where she is up on the hard
, told me I should throw it away... Two days later, I realize he's a bit daft. But, I didn't pay attention to anything when I took it off.
So.. now I want to send it back to PYI to be reconditioned. Problem is I don't know the pitch
settings or the shaft rotation direction. Heres what I know.
I have a Westerbeke
44B with a Newage transmission
pushing a Walter RV-10 v-drive. 2 Bladed Max-prop. The westerbeke
manual says that motor
should be pushing a 17in prop with a pitch
That sound right? what about rotation direction?
